According to an article from C|Net titled Home is where the computer is, a hefty portion of computer users see their computer as the center of their digital lifestyle. This information was gleaned from the 2002 International Digital Lifestyle Study, sponsored by Dell and Microsoft, which polled folks from the US and Europe who owned computers and other devices such as MP3 players and cell phones. From the article:
"Weire seeing a lifestyle shift from almost exclusive television use to a higher percentage of peopleis lives spent on a computer," said Mark Oldani, director of marketing at Dell.
The study also found that nearly one in three computer owners plans to buy another digital product this holiday season.
