SubRosaSoft.com announced the immediate availability of version 5.1 of PodSalvage, CameraSalvage, and OfficeSalvage on Thursday. The new versions of the data recovery applications are now Universal Binary, allowing them to run natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. They also support recovering files from various media types Mac OS X recognizes, including hard drives, USB keys, Linux and Windows formatted drives, FLASH cards, and scratched CDs or DVDs.
PodSalvage is designed to recover lost songs and other files from iPods and other MP3 players. CameraSalvage recovers photos and other documents from digital camera media, and OfficeSalvage recovers deleted or corrupt Microsoft Office documents.
PodSalvage 5.1, CameraSalvage 5.1, and OfficeSalvage 5.1 are priced at US$39.95 each as digital downloads, or $49.95 on CD.
