SubRosaSoft Announces MacForensicsLab

SubRosaSoft announced the immediate availability of a public beta of its new forensics and analysis package, MacForensicsLab, on Wednesday. The application can analyze and recover data from Mac, Windows and Linux storage devices. It offers extensive logging to aid in evidence presentation and testimony, disk imaging, detailed file cataloging, file salvaging, keyword searching, accidental drive write protection, and more. The public beta of MacForensicsLab is available at the SubRosaSoft Web site. Final pricing is expected to be US$995, or $1,135 for the software plus a hardware write blocking FireWire to ATA/SATA adapter.

In conjunction with the release of MacForensicsLab, SubRosaSoft also announced an online discussion board for people interested in Mac-based forensic research. Additional information about the discussion board is available at the MacForensicsLab Web site.
