SubRosaSoft Ships CipherDisk 2.0

SubRosaSoft, Ltd. has released a new version of CipherDisk, bringing it to version 2.0. CipherDisk is a utility designed for encrypting CD and DVD volumes. The latest release features disk image support and CD/DVD burning. According to SubRosaSoft:

SubRosaSoft.com Ltd., a software company based in New Zealand focusing on system utility and privacy software, today announced the immediate availability of CipherDisk version 2.0.

CipherDisk is a tool to hide, encrypt, and password protect your hard disks, CDis, DVD’s and other types of storage. If you select a volume then click "Convert", it will encrypt/encipher all of the data on your chosen disk using highly secure encryption, and make it invisible until you enter your password.

Without your password, nobody can access your encrypted disk no matter what tools they use, or who they are. The only difference you will see in your disks is a password will be required to mount them (make them appear on your desktop). If you shut down the computer or put it into sleep mode, the encrypted disks are automatically hidden and made inaccessible until you launch CipherDisk and enter your password.

The latest version of the software includes support for disk images, CD/DVD burning capability, and a new and streamlined interface.

You can find more information about the CipherDisk release at the SubRosaSoft, Ltd Web site. CipherDisk is available for US$59.95.
