Survey Ranks Gates, Jobs As Top CEOs

A survey conducted by CCNMatthews ranked the worldis most admired CEOs for 2005, and both Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were at the top of the list. The survey asked over 600 global business people in 65 different countries which CEO or chairman they admire most.

Steve Jobs was ranked number two, behind Bill Gates of Microsoft. Interestingly, Mr. Gates is not a CEO. He is, in fact, the companyis Chief Software Architect. Microsoftis actual CEO, Steve Ballmer, did not make the list.

In addition to his duties as Appleis CEO, Steve Jobs is also the CEO of Pixar, the animation studio that gave us Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles.

The rest of the top five list includes Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway) in third place, Michael Dell (Dell) in fourth place, and Richard Branson (Virgin Group) in fifth. Fourth place holder, Michael Dell, is also not a CEO.
