Synk 5.1 Improves Memory Performance, Tiger Support

Macintosh programmer Ben Rister released Wednesday Synk 5.1, the latest version of his software that synchronizes the contents of two directories, or backs up one directory to another.

Version 5.1 has better support Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, allowing backups of Tiger- based systems to run more smoothly., improved symbolic link and alias handling, as well as an updated scheduler.

Additionally, Synk 5.1 features improved conflict detection and resolution.

Synk 5.1 requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later and is priced at US$20 for non-commercial use, $40 for commercial use and is free for students. Synk includes a 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
