TVMicro Brings Small Size to TV Watching on a Mac

Miglia Technology on Monday introduced TVMicro, an iPod shuffle-sized TV tuner that plugs into a free USB 2.0 port and connects to an antenna or analog cable line for watching and recording shows on a Mac. With the US$99 device, users can watch TV in a window or in full-screen mode.

TVMicro ships with a remote control as well as a copy of EyeTV 2.0 software, which enables users to view and filter a program guide as well as schedule recordings. It records in VCD (MPEG-1), S-VCD (MPEG-2) or DVD (MPEG-2) quality, although Miglia recommends using a Dual G4, Dual G5 or Intel Core Duo processor to get full DVD quality.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4, a G4, G5, or Intel processor, and a Mac with a USB 2.0 port.
