TechRestore Starts iPod Drive Upgrade Service

TechRestore, Inc. has begun a new service to upgrade hard drives on Appleis iPod digital devices, the company announced Tuesday.

The TechRestore 24-Hour iPod Upgrade service is a complete, door-to-door overnight service for customers in the continental U.S., the company said. The upgrade is also available for international customers, via the companyis Self-Restore service.

TechRestore will upgrade all generations of the iPod for between US$119.99 and $229.99. For instance, first generation iPod owners can upgrade from a 5 gigabyte (GB) hard drive to a 10GB drive for $119.99 and fourth-generation iPod owners can pay $179.99 for a 20GB to 40GB upgrade and $229.99 for a 40GB to 60GB upgrade.

Once a repair is scheduled, a RestoreBox is sent via overnight courier to the customers home, office or school where their iPod is picked up and brought back overnight to TechRestore. Within 24-hours of receipt, the upgrade is completed and the iPod is sent back to the customers location via overnight courier.
