Flip4Mac developer Telestream announced on Tuesday that it has purchased Popwire. Popwire is a Sweden-based company that develops media encoding tools for the Mac including Compression Engine and Compression Master. The purchase will help broaden Telestreamis market coverage in Europe and should help to enhance Telestreamis Mac-based products.
Oskar Boding, Popwireis Business Unit Manager, commented "Telestream is an excellent fit for both Popwire employees and our products. Telestreamis experience in broadcast and successful global commercialization will provide tremendous leverage for our product offerings."
Popwire will remain in Sweden, and will operate as Telestream AB.
