Telestream announced on Thursday the immediate availability of version 2.1 of its Flip4Mac XDCAM Component. The new version expands support for Sonyis XDCAM system by adding the ability to export IMX 30/40/50 media across the entire XDCAM family.
Previously, the XDCAM component only enabled the import of IMX, DV and HDV content directly from Sonyis XDCAM Professional Disc production system into Appleis Final Cut Pro 5 application.
"This enhancement represents an important step forward in rounding out our XDCAM-compatible solutions for Final Cut Pro users," said Barbara DeHart, VP Flip4Mac Products. "We are pleased to expand Flip4Mac capabilities to provide import and export of MXF media, enabling greater workflow efficiency for Sony XDCAM users as well as our Apple Final Cut Pro customers."
The Flip4Mac XDCAM Component is priced at US$495 and can be ordered from the Flip4mac Website.
