The First Macintosh Stevenote Movie: Happy 21st Birthday, Macintosh!

· by · News

Happy birthday, Macintosh! To celebrate, weire going to bring out some embarrassing home movies, like the very first Macintosh Stevenote ever. German site Mac Essentials has posted the video of Steve Jobs publicly unveiling the Macintosh on January 24th, 1984.

For those keeping score, that was the date that Apple told us was why the year 1984 wouldnit be like 1984, but this video shouldnit be confused with the famous commercial to that effect. This is the actual unveiling of the Mac, including the then-incredible windowing interface that set the Mac apart from everything else on the market.

A screen shot from the video:

Macintosh: Insanely Great!

You can download the video, and see cartoon strip about it (in German) at Mac Essentials.
