Weive begun hearing from Observers who pre-ordered Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" and have received shipping notification. Delivery for most pre-orders was promised for Friday, April 29th, the same day the software will be released in retail stores.
For those who didnit pre-order the Mac OS X upgrade, Apple announced in-store "Tiger World Premiere" events from 6:00 PM to midnight at the companyis fleet of retail stores. Many third-party VARs will also be hosting Tiger release events.
For those who didnit pre-order, canit stop at an Apple Store to buy the software this weekend, and still want to order it, Amazon is offering Tiger for $94.88, more than $30 off retail pricing of $129.
