Toshiba Unveils Its Latest Projector

Toshiba on Tuesday released its latest projector, a US$1,399 model that goes by the name TDP-T40U and is aimed at mobile users in the education and business markets as well as small-to-medium-sized businesses. It features 1,800 ANSI lumens, 2000:1 contrast ration and 1024 x 768 (XGA) resolution. It can project images from 30 to 300 inches, measured diagonally, and can throw them on a screen from 3.9 to 34.7 feet away.

Connectivity options include composite, component and S-video inputs as well as audio in/out and a monitor output for also viewing presentations on an external display. The TDP-T40U weighs just over 6.5 pounds and includes a 1-watt speaker for multimedia effects. Toshiba said that the new projector is available now.
