ite our previous guess, the Holiday shopping season has not meant continued strong traffic to the Apple web site. Down nearly .5 million visitors from last week, Apple dropped to 5th in this weekis PC Data Top 10 rankings. Traffic was still decent, at just over 1 million visitors, but while other sites saw large increases Apple suffered the biggest drop. Taking over the top spot from Compaq was Gateway, with over 1.6 million visitors. Compaq had held the top spot for the last several months. The rest of the Top 10 contains the companies that we have grown used to seeing there, including HP, Dell, IBM, Intel, along with resellers Outpost and Egghead. 3Com made its way back into the Top 10, while ETracks dropped from this weeks rankings.
