Trifinity Releases New iTunes AppleScripts

Trifinity Software has released new AppleScripts for iTunes users. The AppleScripts are designed to add functionality not usually found with the standard iTunes features set. The scripts allow ID 3 tagging enhancements like capitalize words and extract artist. According to Trifinity Software:

Trinfinity Software released today three freeware, open source AppleScripts for iTunes. These scripts can be used to drastically reduce the amount of time needed to clean up the ID3 tags of the songs in your iTunes music library.

The following AppleScripts for iTunes require iTunes 2.0.3 or later and can be used on both MacOS 9 and MacOS X.

These scripts are freeware, which means that users can download and use them for free. They are also open source, which means users are allowed (and encouraged) to read the source code, modify it, and use it to create new scripts.

The scripts include:

  • Capitalize Words In Tags
  • Extract Artist From Song Name
  • Remove Track Number from Song Name

You can find more information about the iTunes AppleScripts at the Trifinity Software. Web site. The scripts are available as freeware.
