Selznick Scientific Software, LLC has released an update for Typist, bringing it to version 1.2. Typist is a text utility designed to simplify often used text and is exclusive for Mac OS X. The update features performance enhancements. According to Selznick Scientific Software:
Typist is a handy utility that types text for you. Simply configure Typist with text you type frequently (like a return address, directions, instructions, or letter head). When youire ready to have the text typed for you, just select it from Typistis system-wide menu, or from Typistis popup window.
CHANGES TO VERSION 1.2 of Typist:
- Added special insertions for typing including tabs, dates, times, and even the clipboard contents
- Typistis window no longer jumps to the front if it loads at startup
- Improved reliability of AutoTyping on slower systems
- Set command-key for "Preferences" menu item to semi-colon
