Apple is planning to open its first store in Liverpool in the UK on Saturday, July 26. The Liverpool One retail store will open its doors at 9:00 AM local time, and will sport the usual amenities including a Genius Bar and One to One shopping.
To celebrate the grand opening, Apple will be giving away free T-shirts to the first 1,000 customers, and will also give away a Digital Lifestyle Collection to one lucky winner. The collection will include a black MacBook and a silver iPod nano.
Apple announced during its third quarter earnings report on July 21 that it plans to have 242 stores open by the end of the year. The Mac and iPhone maker closed the quarter with 211 open stores that generated US$1.44 billion in sales.
