USB Overdrive Updated to Beta 5

USB Overdrive beta has been released, bringing it to version 5. USB Overdrive is a USB device driver designed to add more functionality to devices including mouse and trackballs. The latest version ships with performance enhancements including Jaguar support. According to Alessandro Levi Montalcini:

The fifth Mac OS X public beta of my USB Overdrive X mouse driver is now available. This beta is for Mac OS X 10.1.2 and later and includes support for the new Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar. It currently supports mouse and trackball devices only, with support for joysticks and gamepads coming soon.

NEW IN BETA 5:

  • Works in Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar)
  • Includes an Installer and an Uninstaller
  • Clicks + modifier keys now work properly in Finder
  • Many driver-level improvements and changes
