United Devices Announces Grid MP 4.2 with Mac OS Support

United Devices announced Tuesday the beta release of Grid MP 4.2 with Mac OS X support.

Grid is a tool to create an enterprise-wide IT infrastructures enabling an organization to coordinate and share existing resources across departmental and geographically dispersed organizations.

"Mac OS support is a critical feature for our customers using high-end design tools as well as universities and academic institutions," said Jikku Venkat, United Devices Chief Technology Officer. "Now these customers can operate truly heterogeneous grids, leveraging their wealth of Macs to dramatically increase the total power of their grid."

With the new release come additional management features as well, like integration with existing identity management systems for simpler grid interaction and expansion.
