NewerTech announced the immediate availability of its USB 2.0 Universal Drive Adapter on Thursday. The adapter lets you connect any 2.5-inch, 3.5-inch, or 5.25-inch drive that has a standard IDE/ATA/ATAPI 40 pin or any Serial-ATA interface to your Mac via USB. The adapter works with hard rives and optical drives, supports both USB 1.1 and 2.0, and includes the necessary cables. The USB 2.0 Universal Drive Adapter is priced at US$24.95.
