VMWare Announces Fusion Pricing & Pre-Order Discount

VMWare announced Tuesday that VMWare Fusion will be available in August of 2007 for US$79.99, and pre-order pricing for those ordering now of $39.99. VMWare Fusion is a virtual machine solution for the Mac that allows Intel-Mac users to run Windows, Linux, NetWare, and Solaris apps from within Mac OS X.

Fusion has been in public beta since December of 2006. The product includes integration with Boot Camp, DirectX 8.1 support, Virtual SMP support for dual-core and dual-processor computers, a "Snapshot/Backup" feature for rolling their virtual machines back to an earlier state, and more.
