View Entire Web Sites Offline

· by Kyle D\'Addario · News

Chaotic Software has updated their application for storing and viewing entire web sites offline, Web Devil, to version 5.0. Web Devil allows users to extract images, JavaScripts, and virtually all other components of modern web sites. The new version includes document support and a downloaded URL list. According to Chaotic Software:

Web Devil is a tool for downloading web sites for offline browsing, extracting web site images, backgrounds, HTML, JavaScript, Shockwave, etc., helping to maintain web sites for content authors, and more. It also has filtering capabilities, so it only downloads what you want, and has a simple to use interface. Just enter a URL and it downloads with a single click.

Web Devil 5.0 changes:

  • Added support for creating and opening documents containing all the download settings.
  • Added display of URL download list so you can see what files were downloaded.
  • Fixed problem where uniquely renamed files did not have the correct type/creator set.
  • Fixed problems with downloading sites with the Build Folder Hierarchy option off.

Web Devil is available for US$34.95. You can find more information at the Chaotic Software web site.
