WWDC "Sold Out" For First Time

Apple has confirmed that their Worldwide Developers Conference has sold out for the first time in its history.
"Response to this yearis WWDC has been off the charts and we are delighted with the show of enthusiasm and support from the developer community for the new iPhone SDK," said Apple spokesman Bill Evans, according to Macworld on Wednesday.
Recent WWDC events have attracted about 4,000 developers from all over the world. Apple didnit say how many had registered this year before registration was closed.
Last weekis JavaOne conference, which used all of Moscone South and North, some of Moscone West and a local hotel, required attendees to sign up online for many of the specific sessions. Apple has not yet required that, but the overflow crowds at some WWDC sessions in recent years have made it more and more important to arrive early or face SRO, even exclusion.
