4D, Inc. has released an update for 4D WebSTAR Server Suite, bringing it to version 5.0.1. 4D WebSTAR Server Suite is a Web development tool designed to be a complete Web site creation package. The update includes several enhancements including performance boosts to the HTTP and FTP servers. Also included are the usual bug fixes and compatability improvements. According to 4D:
4D, Inc., publishers of the 4th Dimension RAD/RDBMS Environment and 4D WebSTAR Server Suite, today announced 4D WebSTAR 5.0.1, the first update to 4D WebSTAR Server Suite V, now with a built-in update notification feature, 4D Connect plug-in, performance boosts to the HTTP server, FTP server and Search plug-in, and several other improvements.
Included in the 4D WebSTAR 5.0.1 update are a distribution of PHP 4.0.6 as a CGI, a menu option for update notification in the WebSTAR Monitor, and a new plug-in for connectivity to 4D RDBMS. HTTP, FTP and Search are all markedly faster, and technical documentation has been updated. Additional bug fixes, usability improvements, compatibility improvements and more are also included in the 4D WebSTAR 5.0.1 update.
