Wil Wheaton to Speak at Macworld Expo

Actor and author Wil Wheaton will deliver a a special feature presentation at the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, January 10 to 14 of next year, conference organizer IDG World Expo said Tuesday.

Mr. Wheaton will discuss his personal story, and his thoughts on Web design, HTML and blogging--as described in his book, Just a Geek. The presentation will take place on Thursday, January 13, 2005 at 9:30 a.m., and will be followed by a book signing.

Mr. Wheaton is best known for his starring role in the Rob Reiner film Stand by Me, released in 1986. Mr. Wheaton left the Hollywood scene for eighteen months to pursue personal video production. He returned to Los Angeles in 2000.

Expo will take plaec at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
