Shareware developer Wincent on Friday released version 1.9 of Synergy Classic, its utility that places iTunes controls in the OS X menu bar and displays a floating, semi-transparent window that displays artist and song information next to an album cover. Synergy also searches Amazon.com for album covers and downloads them automatically. This update, which is free for all registered users, fixes a few bugs and provides support for Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger" as well as iTunes 4.8. The full version is US$10 and requires Mac OS X v10.2.
