Wondertouch, LLC announced Tuesday particleIllusion 2.0 SE for the Mac, a standalone, introductory version of the companyis 2D, sprite-based particle effects application.
The product offers artists access to hundreds of customizable preset effects such as smoke, fire, explosions, water effects, sparkles, colorful artistic effects. Version 2.0 features a collection of approximately 750 effects with OpenGL hardware acceleration for realtime (or near realtime) previews of most effects and ultra-fast rendering of final output.
particleIllusion SE 2.0 is expected for release by the end of the year for US$100. Version 3.0 is expected to ship shortly after the release, according to the company.
