Apple released Xsan 1.4.2 updates for its storage area network product late Thursday. Apple stated the Admin, Filesystem, and Uninstaller updates improve Xsan overall reliability, usability and Leopard compatibility.

The updates corrected issues related to mounting Fibre Channel LUNS in Mac OS X 10.5, metadata controller fail-overs during power outages and network disconnects, memory related performance problems, file system metadata corruption, and more.

The Xsan 1.4.2 Admin, File System, and Uninstaller updates are available for download at the Apple Support Web site.
