Xserve RAID Missing Following Xsan 2 Launch

· by · News

Appleis Xserve RAID quietly and unceremoniously disappeared from the companyis Web site and online store following the launch of Xsan 2 on Tuesday. Xserve RAID was Appleis enterprise-level RAID storage system designed to work with the Xserve and other server-grade systems.

The Xserve RAID page on Appleis Web site now redirects to a server storage page, and although a search for Xserve RAID at the Apple Store shows a link to a product page, clicking through to the page returns a warning that the product is currently unavailable.

Apple representatives were not available to confirm that the Xserve RAID is now a discontinued product.
