YML: Apple Viruses and Web Page Creation for the Rest of Us

· by · News

Your Mac Life (YML), with Shawn King, which airs every Wednesday night, will talk about whether Mac OS X users really need virus protection. In addition, the struggle to find just the right combination of power and ease of use in Web page creation will be discussed with Softpress.

Rich Mogull over on TidBITS.com has asked: "Should Mac Users Run Antivirus Software?" "Itis a controversial question with no easy answers. Mogull joins Your Mac Life this evening to try and give some answers, even if they wonit be easy ones," Shawn King said.

In addition, "Back in the mists of Internet time, there were a dozen simple, easy to use software packages that would allow the average designer to create decent looking web pages," Shawn King added. "Those days are long gone and most users struggle to find something between the power and complexity of the Dreamweaver/GoLive monopoly but something more than the basic iWeb."

Softpress.com will be unwrapping Freeway 5 next week and theyill join Your Mac Life to talk about how the new software will fill that middle ground for designers.

YML is videocast each Wednesday night from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM Pacific Time or from 8:30 PM to 11:00 PM Eastern Time. An audio only version only is also available.
