Yahoo! Messenger for Mac Beta Adds Voice Chat, Phone Calls, More

Yahoo! released late on Tuesday a new beta of Yahoo! Messenger for Mac. The new version adds voice chat between Yahoo! Messenger clients, as well as outgoing phone calls to traditional phones (for a fee), voicemail, and call forwarding. Other new features include tabbed windows, access to chat rooms, multiway conferencing, message archiving, webcam support, file transfers, and the ever-popular "more emoticons."

The version 3 (release 3) beta supports PowerPC and Intel Macs, and is a 16.9 MB download. The Yahoo! Messenger blog post announcing the beta has more info.
