Address Book Server Out the Door for Mac OS X

UK-based Address Book Server announced the release of its self-titled Address Book Server software server for Apple's Address Book and iCal applications on Monday. The program allows users to share contacts, events and tasks with other Mac users in real-time.

Users can either share their entire Address Book, or a selection of groups. Selected calendars can be published to the server or synced manually or on a automatically on a scheduled basis.

Contact details can be exported to vCard and LDIF format to integrate with a number of clients and a Web interface allows users to access and modify their contact details via the internet.

The application retails for £25 (US$36.86) and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later to install and run.
