Adobe Launches Photoshop Touch for iPad

Adobe announced the immediate availability of Photoshop Touch for the iPad 2 on Monday. Photoshop Touch is based on Adobe Photoshop and lets users edit images with finger-based gestures on Apple’s multimedia tablet.

Photoshop Touch supports layers in images, merging multiple photos into a single image, can extract objects from images with a scribble gesture, includes a Refine Edge feature for fine-tune control over selections, includes several image effects, offers Google Image Search support, can share images via Facebook, and more.

Photoshop Touch costs US$9.99 requires an iPad 2. It is available for download at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.

I just read the product features in the App Store.  I was about to buy when I read that the maximum resolution supported is 1600 x 1600 pixels.  Seems to be a major limitation.
