Adobe Releases Flash Player 10 Security Update

· by · Product News

Adobe released a security update for Flash Player 10 on Wednesday that the company says patches critical security flaws in the multimedia player utility. The update addresses a potential vulnerability in Flash Player 10.0.12.36 and earlier that could let an attacker take control of the affected system.

The Flash Player 10.0.22.87 update fixes a buffer overflow issue that could let an attack execute arbitrary code, resolves an input validation issue that could result in a Denial of Service attack, and the settings manager display page at Adobe.com was updated to help avoid potential Clickjacking issues.

Adobe Flash Player 10.0.22.87 is free and available for download at the Adobe Support Web site. Adobe also has a Flash Player 9 security update for users that can't update to Flash Player 10.
