Amazon Joins iPad Retailers

· by · News

Amazon.com began selling Apple’s iPad multimedia tablet device on Monday, adding yet another retail channel for potential buyers. The iPad is also available through Apple, Best Buy and Target.

Online shoppers can pick up the 32GB and 64GB Wi-Fi iPad models from Amazon.com now for Apple’s list prices of US$599 and $699. Target began selling the iPad in its retail stores on Sunday.

Apple’s iPad

The iPad is Apple’s multimedia tablet device that runs iOS just like the iPhone and iPod touch. It sports a 9.7-inch multitouch display, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, can play back videos and music, includes an ebook reader and Apple’s iBookstore, supports external keyboards, and more.

Apple’s expansion into additional retail channels means there will be more places to potentially get ahold of one during the upcoming holiday buying season.
