Apple Brings Space Gray to iPod Lineup

Apple introduced space gray as the new black for the iPhone 5s on Tuesday, and the not-so-black black is making its way to the iPod lineup, too. The company quietly updated the color options for the iPod touch, iPod nano, and iPod shuffle.

In addition to space gray, the iPod touch is available in blue, yellow, red, and silver metallic colors. The iPod nano and iPod touch are available in purple, blue, green, yellow, red, and silver.

Apple introduced space gray as a new color for the iPhone 5s during a special media event on Tuesday. The color replaces the black used on the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5s is also available in white with silver or gold metal trim.

The iPhone 5s will be available on September 20, but the space gray iPod models are available now.

Could we please all stop calling it “space gray” (which, from where I come from, at least, is spelt “grey”)?

It’s just grey, right?!


Both spellings are valid, according to the sources I could find. Gray is the dominant spelling in the US. Grey is the dominant spelling in the UK (and possibly other colonies).
