The rumored October Apple event has become a reality. With the tag line “We’ve got a little more to show you,” Apple has just sent invitations to the media for a special event on October 23 at 10:00 a.m. PDT at the California Theatre in San Jose, California.

It is widely expected that Apple will use the event to introduce a 7.85-inch “iPad mini.” Rumors also point to the possibility of us seeing an updated third-generation iPad with the new Lightning connector, a new 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro and updated iMacs and Mac minis. Time will tell, and we'll know on Tuesday.
The Mac Observer will be in attendance at the event and provide full coverage here and at our live blog.

That would be a whopper of an announcement. If they really have that many updates to roll out expect the iMac, Mac mini, and possibly even MacBook Pro updates to quietly appear in the Apple Store prior to the event, so the iPad can have the spotlight.
It probably is to announce the iPod Touch Magnum, but the is there anything in the invitation that confirms it?
I think I’ve found a name I like better than iPad7.
iPad Mini. Smaller/thinner iMacs. Mac Mini. iPad with smaller connector. Retina display MacBook Pro (down from 15”). These all fit in with the ‘little’ theme. Hmmm…
Nope. I think the clue is in the words on the poster.
It’s going to be the iPad Little.
