Apple's online store was replaced with the familiar "We'll be back" note early Tuesday morning ahead of the company's scheduled media event. The company is expected to unveil new hardware, including updated iPad models, and with the store offline that looks like an even more real possibility.

The event is set to start at 10AM pacific time at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. Apple is expected to introduce new iPad models, and possibly new MacBook Pros at today's event, and may give us the launch date for OS X Mavericks and the redesigned Mac Pro that was first shown off earlier this year at the company's annual World Wide Developer Conference.
