120 Sports includes includes basketball, hockey, football, golf, and more, plus it doesn't require a cable television subscription like so many other Apple TV channels. Content is updated daily with more than ten hours of free content.

Apple recently added Tennis Channel Everywhere to Apple TV, although the channel requires a US$69.99 a year subscription. That fee gets users access to big name tennis matches, along with other tennis-related content.

With more sports content coming to set top streaming entertainment box, it looks like Apple is working on making Apple TV more attractive to potential cable cutters. 120 Sports will show up automatically on compatible Apple TV models without requiring a software update, and the 120 Sports app is available as a free download for iPhone and iPad at Apple's iTunes-based App Store.
