Apple Unveils Flattened iCloud Beta to Match iOS 7

| News

Apple unveiled a flattened design for its iCloud services Wednesday through the iCloud beta site (first noted by 9to5Mac). Beta.icloud.com now sports an iOS 7 look and feel complete with a parallax effect in the background, translucent layers, and flattened apps that match the iOS 7 developer.

Here's a tour of the new design (note that the iWork apps are not part of this beta, still have the old look and feel, and are not featured in this tour).

It is funny but oddly I think of the time around 1964-1968 when I see the new design. It is oddly pleasing.

Perhaps Apple will make the Trash icon look like a soup can.

I keep thinking of OS 7 on my old SE when I see this.

It looks a bit bokeh.

“A parallax effect?” I don’t thinks so. It may be a depth-of-field trick, (background appearing out of focus relative to the foreground, or vice versa), but I see no parallax effect.
