Apple Updates iWork For iCloud, Mac/iOS Updates Coming

Apple has updated the iWork for iCloud suite, adding features to the web versions of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. While the iCloud version updates look spiffy if you use the Mac or iOS versions of iWork, proceed with caution.

Upon opening one of the apps, you'll see a splash screen with a list of updated items and buttons to use the app, or create a new document. Once you are in the app, you get a note that says updates are coming for Mac and iOS later today, and you need those updates to open files you edit using the iCloud versions of the apps.

Across the entire iWork suite, updated editors and Retina display support are listed, as well as the ability to share view-only documents with others, and open items from iCloud mail. Both Pages and Keynote can now edit charts in documents which have been imported, and Pages also received some new templates and better text wrapping.

These updates are available now by logging in on the iCloud website.
