Apple Watch Bands in Apple Stores in Limited Quantities Soon

Apple Watch BandsApple will begin having "limited" quantities of Apple Watch bands in its fleet of Apple Store retail locations later this week. According to a memo to retail employees obtained by 9to5Mac, the bands will initially be available to customers who want to swap the band that came with their device, though the process for this isn't yet known.

Apple Stores will also use these initial quantities to replace bands in their Apple Watch try-on stations. Remaining inventory will be for sale to the public. According to the memo, early availability will be mostly Apple's fluoroelastomer Sport Bands.

Sales of Apple Watch have been limited to Apple's online store only heretofore, but the devices are expected to make their sales debut in Apple Stores in June. The company has wrestled with ramping up production for both the device and bands, but indications such as these suggest Apple is making steady progress.
