Apple released iBooks 2.0.1 for the iPhone and iPad on Friday to address a problem where some iBooks textbooks failed to open.

The release notes for the update don’t offer any additional details, although from The Mac Observer’s tests it looks like the problem where intro movies in textbooks failed to play, leaving users unable to view the contents of to book files the open, has been fixed.
iBooks 2.0.1 is a a free download and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
