Apple Addresses Yellow iMac Display Issue

· by · News

Apple has claimed that it has fixed a problem with the 27-inch iMac that could cause the screen to color shift to yellow and flicker. Along with confirmation that it has addressed the issue that's been a point of frustration for many customers, Apple will fix iMacs that are exhibiting the display problems through its AppleCare program.

"We've addressed the issues that caused display flickering and yellow tint. Customers concerned that their iMac is affected should contact AppleCare," Apple said in a statement to Gizmodo.

Apple previously released two iMac firmware updates focused on video-related issues. The first was in December 2009 and targeted the video cards used in the 27-inch iMac, and the second was in early February for screen flickering issues.

So… wouldn’t that be “Apple Addresses iMac Yellow Display Issue”? ‘Cause even way back when iMacs came in colors, I don’t think yellow was an option.
