Apple Adds Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye to iTunes Festival 2011

· by · News

Apple announced Thursday another band in its 31-day iTunes Festival in London, England, Beady Eye. The band will play the event on July 5th, and joins Linkin Park, Adele, White Lies, Duran Duran, and Rumer as the 6th act to be announced for the event, which takes place at the Roundhouse, in London (Apple first announced the event in January).

Beady Eye was formed by Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, and Andy Bells, three members of 1990s powerhouse Oasis. The three formed Beady Eye after Liam’s brother, guitarist and songwriter Noel Gallager, left Oasis in 2009.

Apple gives away tickets to the event via a drawing. Prospective fans can enter a drawing for any of the bands that have been confirmed, and other bands once they are announced. Apple will also let you sign up for iTunes Festival-specific news and information on the home page for the event.
