Apple Adds Matte Display Option to 15-inch MacBook Pro
Apple has finally brought back a feature 15-inch MacBook Pro users have been clamoring for: matte displays. The anti-glare version of the laptop display is available as a build-to-order option at Apple's online store. Like the standard glossy display, the new matte option sports 1440x900 pixels and is LED backlit. The matte display also includes a silver bezel instead of black, but the cosmetic difference is a small price to pay for users that don't want the glossy finish. The matte display option for the 15-inch MacBook Pro is a US$50 upgrade. The matte upgrade option isn't available for the 13-inch MacBook Pro.
3 Observer CommentsGreat. Now, if Apple could just offer the anti-glare option for iMacs! That is great news. The problem with these glare screens is that you have to turn the brightness way up (and the dark parts of the screen still act like a mirror): The ergonomic brightness ist just around 100 cd/m^2 Recent Headlines - Updated February 14th
