A White House official commented “The president and the business leaders will discuss our shared goal of promoting American innovation, and discuss his commitment to new investments in research and development, education and clean energy.”

Mr. Jobs has been on medical leave for several weeks, but is still involved in business decisions for Apple. During his absence, COO Tim Cook is handling day-to-day operations.

The President, along with the chairman of the White House Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, Jeffrey Immelt, will be meeting with the business leaders later in the day at an undisclosed location.

If you are going to write about the president of the United States, you may want to spell his name correctly.

Or just use PBO. It’s a lot less to type.

Hopefully the undisclosed location won’t still reek of Dick Cheney.

Think there’s any chance SJ will try to convince him to leave with an iPhone rather than his Crackberry? wink

Call me skeptical. Jobs is on Disney’s board, and it’s no stretch to assume he could call in a favorable press story occasionally. The story got Immelt’s attendance wrong. GE spokespeople said he’s not going to be there (see end of article).

If the news is bad, Apple just wants to make it through tomorrow afternoon to avoid a blood bath in the market. The market is skeptical but hopeful, hovering around a $5 loss today. It seems like the last thing Jobs would want to do is show up even at a private event and confirm what’s being supposed. News will get out, and if it doesn’t, because the event is managed so that nobody but BHO sees him, well that’s informative too.

With the track (no) record for RIO, he’ll try anything for a “CHANGE”. He’s spent more for less than any Women on this planet! Remember the term Lame Duck, now we see it in action.. Wow what money and the right people pushing can do.

How’s that new CEO of Microsoft selling.. Sound familiar ?

Windows & more Mac like than ever before !
