Apple CEO Steve Jobs to Meet with President Obama

U.S. President Barak Obama will be meeting with Apple CEO Steve Jobs and other technology figures on Thursday in San Francisco. Along with Mr. Jobs, the President will be meeting with Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Google CEO Eric Schmidt, according to ABC News.

Steve Jobs to talk tech with President Obama

A White House official commented “The president and the business leaders will discuss our shared goal of promoting American innovation, and discuss his commitment to new investments in research and development, education and clean energy.”

Mr. Jobs has been on medical leave for several weeks, but is still involved in business decisions for Apple. During his absence, COO Tim Cook is handling day-to-day operations.

The President, along with the chairman of the White House Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, Jeffrey Immelt, will be meeting with the business leaders later in the day at an undisclosed location.
