Apple introduced a new iPhone commercial Monday evening that shows off the iPhone 4’s FaceTime feature. The ad plays off the Christmas holiday with a little boy talking to Santa with a little help from his mom and dad.

FaceTime is a video chat feature Apple introduced with the iPhone 4. It takes advantage of the combination iPod and smartphone’s front-facing camera, and is now available on the iPod touch, too. A public beta of FaceTime for the Mac is available for download, and presumably the feature will appear on the next iPad model as well.

Apple’s Under the Covers iPhone 4 commercial is available in QuickTime format at the Apple Web site.
