Apple Highlights iPad Versatility with “Now” Ad

· by · News

Apple released a new iPad 2 commercial over the weekend that shows off the tablet’s versatility. The new commercial, called “Now,” follows the same voiceover format used in previous iPad 2 ads, and only briefly mentions the product name.

The “Now” ad shows the iPad 2 as a news paper reader, movie screen, classroom, book store, and more. Clearly missing from the commercial are any references to product specifications or technical details — items that are nearly always in ads for competing products.

“Now” is available for viewing at Apple’s iPad 2 Web site.

Excellent ad, for all the right reasons?clear practicality, variety of uses, understated tone?

But I still miss the humor of the “I’m a PC” series.
